We've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you an update on our Collagen & Gelatin restock as soon as we could. Below is our recent update from our newsletter.
 
Here at Cell Squared, we are always striving to deliver the best products to our community. It was our passion for exceptional ingredient sourcing that sparked us to create our range of nose-to-tail products that so many of you use every day. 
 
Our Grass-fed & Grass-finished Collagen & Gelatin have been staples for many of you, but as you’ve likely noticed, they've been in and out of stock over the last few months. We even managed to restock a small batch recently, which sold out in under 24hours!
 
Sourcing exclusively grass-fed AND grass-finished​ cow hides for our custom batches has become increasingly challenging over the last 3-6 months, making it difficult to keep up with demand.
 
Although experiencing such high demand sounds like it would be a ‘great problem to have’, constantly being out of stock is like waking up each day, late for an appointment with 100s of people wondering where you are all at once...you can imagine the stress this has placed on us as a small family run business. 
 
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our Collagen & Gelatin for the foreseeable future. 
 
Unfortunately, we cannot meet demand without reverting to using ‘Grass-fed’ cow hides. While we can quite readily source ‘Grass-fed’ cow hides right now & into the future, this would not honour the promise we’ve made to our community to create exclusively from ‘Grass-fed AND Grass-finished’ cow hides. 
 
This decision was not made lightly (especially given the popularity of these products) ...you never know, there might be opportunity in the future to restart our collagen & gelatin. Until then, we will be placing our focus on doing what we do best….Creating Award-winning ACO Certified Organic Beef Organs Powders. 
 
While our collagen & gelatin were introduced only last year, we have been crafting our beef organ products since 2020, and they remain at the heart of what we do and what we're most passionate about.
 
We understand that this news can come as a surprise, and we deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Serving & Uses
  • 1 tablespoon equals approximately 10g Collagen
  • Used in cooking recipes - desserts, gummies, broths, stews, soups & more.
  • HOW TO BLOOM GELATIN - By adding 1:3 ratio of gelatin to water in a bowl & stir until it becomes soft. Gently heat 250ml liquid of choice until warm, & stir until dissolved. Pour into moulds or a glass bowl & refrigerate for 2 hrs (until set).

HOW TO BLOOM GELATIN

Add 1:3 ratio of gelatin to cold water in a bowl & stir until it becomes soft (the quantity of gelatin used will be specific to the recipe you are following). As the gelatin absorbs the liquid, each granule becomes enlarged; this is known as “blooming.” Blooming gelatin is a step necessary to ensuring the smooth texture of the finished recipe.

To make Gummies: Gently heat liquid of choice until warm, add to bloomed gelatin, & stir until dissolved (the quantity of liquid used will be specific to the recipe you are following).

Pour into moulds or a glass bowl & refrigerate for 2 hrs (until set).
