Panna Cotta is one of our go-to desserts, and we've been wanting to create this recipe for you for some time now!
When it comes to keeping desserts simple, Panna Cotta is about as simple as it gets!
Panna cotta is a silky smooth, eggless custard thickened with a touch of gelatin. This animal-based Panna Cotta recipe is an especially creamy and decadent version as it’s made with pure cream instead of a mix of cream and milk.
The Panna Cotta is tasty enough to eat on its own, but if you're wanting a little extra, you can drizzle it with our sugar-free caramel sauce when serving 🤤
Stacked with Gelatin & Collagen, this recipe is loaded with a decent dose of healthy fats & protein!
For an extra nutrient boost, you can also add a dose of beef liver powder! 😉
Serves 4
Panna Cotta Ingredients
-
¼ cup water
-
500ml pure cream
-
2 Tbsp raw honey
-
½ tsp vanilla powder or 1-2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Caramel Sauce Ingredients
-
250ml pure cream
-
1 Tbsp Cell Squared Ghee
-
2 Tbsp maple syrup or honey
-
Optional: 1 scoop of Cell Squared Collagen
Panna Cotta Instructions
-
Mix the gelatin with the water in a small saucepan and allow to bloom and thicken for a few minutes.
-
Add all ingredients into a small saucepan and heat over a low-medium heat. Mix until the gelatin dissolves completely. This will only take a few minutes. Optional - split open 1-2 beef liver capsules (1/4 teaspoon beef liver powder) and add the powder into the mix for an extra nutrient boost!
-
Remove from the heat and allow to cool a bit before pouring into 4 ramekins or glasses.
-
Place in the fridge to set for a few hours.
Caramel Sauce Instructions
-
Add all ingredients into a small saucepan. Allow it to simmer over a medium heat until the sauce starts to turn a golden colour and give the mix a whisk. This should take about 12-15 minutes.
-
Remove from the heat and let it cool down a bit. The caramel sauce will thicken up as it cools down.
-
When you’re ready to serve, pour the sauce on top of each panna cotta and enjoy!
-
Optional to serve with fresh berries, and / or some toasted activated nuts sprinkled on top for a bit of crunch.
HAPPY MAKING!
